Matcha is selected and immediately cold-processed to preserve all its properties. Our Matcha is grown 400 km south of Tokyo, away from pollution, on lush hills. Once selected, the Gyokuro tea leaves are harvested, and selected by hand before being stone-ground to produce this wonderful powdered green tea that is incredibly high in antioxidants including the catechin called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate).
It contains more nutrients, salts, vitamins, and antioxidants than normal green tea: one cup of Matcha corresponds to about 10 cups of green tea
